Virgin Atlantic launches online check-in incentive
Virgin Atlantic has launched a new Easter travel initiative that is hoped to increase usage of its online check-in facilities.
Throughout the month of April, travellers who check in online before flying with Virgin Atlantic from Manchester Airport, Gatwick Airport and Heathrow Airport will be given a £6 discount voucher to use with the airline's Retail Therapy onboard shopping line.
A variety of products can be bought at duty-free prices in the Retail Therapy range, including cosmetics, gadgets and travel accessories.
Furthermore, people catching flights from London Heathrow and Gatwick will receive vouchers offering discounts at selected airport retailers and on short-term car parking.
Paul Dickinson, Virgin Atlantic's sales and marketing director, said: "We are sure our passengers will enjoy this Easter promotion.
"Not only will their travels be made quicker and easier by checking in online but they can then use their discount vouchers to shop onboard at even better prices than usual."
Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester are the airline's main bases in the UK, from which it operates flights to Johannesburg, Sydney, San Francisco, Tokyo and other destinations.
