Flybe puts winter flights on sale

Flybe has announced an early release of a number of services that it will be operating during its 2009-10 winter schedule, including some 480 weekly flights from Gatwick Airport that are now on sale for travel from October 25th.

The range of Flybe flights that are on sale from London Gatwick includes ten regional services to destinations such as Aberdeen, Belfast, Dusseldorf and Newquay.

From Exeter Airport and Southampton Airport, the airline will be operating services to winter sports destinations including Geneva, Chambery and Salzburg.

Flybe will continue to offer flights to Mediterranean hotspots over the winter period, with the most popular expected to be Alicante, Faro, Malaga and Palma.

Mike Rutter, the airline's chief commercial officer, said: "Flybe recognises that times are tough for travel planning this year, with business and leisure travellers alike having to keep a close eye on their budgets.

"The early release of a selection of our most popular winter routes sees us rewarding our loyal passengers and listening and responding to their needs, enabling them to plan their winter travel in advance."

Flybe will be expanding its domestic flight network this summer when it launches an additional service from London Gatwick to Guernsey.
