Aer Lingus to launch new flights from London Gatwick
Aer Lingus will launch new flights to six destinations from Gatwick Airport this winter after making the south-east hub its first base outside Ireland earlier this year.
The carrier will begin operating new flights to Bucharest, Eindhoven, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Warsaw from October 25th and to Vilnius from September 10th.
Existing services to Dublin, Faro, Knock, Munich, Zurich, Vienna and Malaga will continue to operate alongside the new flights, while the carrier's route to Nice will be suspended for the winter.
Enda Corneille, corporate affairs director for Aer Lingus, said: "Aer Lingus' European destinations are still proving to be a huge hit with our customers. Since our first launch back in April, we have sold over 400,000 flights and counting.
"To give our customers a greater choice in destinations, we've introduced six new routes which are popular to travellers during the winter months - perfect for anyone looking to escape the British winter."
Last month, Aer Lingus marked the 60th anniversary of its flights to Birmingham from its base in Dublin.
