Toronto to host Canadian National Exhibition
Travellers will be setting off on city breaks in Toronto later this summer to visit the Canadian National Exhibition.
This entertainment extravaganza is one of Canada's biggest annual events and officially the fourth largest public fair in North America.
Based on the shores of Lake Ontario in the heart of downtown Toronto, the Canadian National Exhibition - or simply 'the Ex' - will run from August 21st to September 7th this year.
The range of entertainment on offer to visitors will include the 60th annual Canadian International Air Show from September 5th to 7th and an ice skating event that will present performances against a backdrop of clips from famous movies.
There will also be an interactive winter sports area for visitors to explore, which is being set up to celebrate the fact that the 2010 Winter Games will be held in Vancouver next year.
People interested in attending the Ex this year can catch flights to Toronto with carriers including British Airways, Air Canada and KLM.
