Bmi has announced that it will be increasing capacity on its flights to
Leeds-Bradford from
Edinburgh Airport and
Glasgow Airport this summer.
The airline confirmed that its regional subsidiary will operate two daily flights from the Scottish destinations to
Leeds-Bradford Airport, using an improved timetable that will enable
business travellers to spend the whole day in the Yorkshire city.
From Glasgow Airport, bmi will also introduce a larger aircraft that will increase capacity on the route by a third.
Peter Kenworthy, commercial director of bmi Regional, said: "The new schedule for our Scotland to Leeds-Bradford route and the increased capacity on flights out of Glasgow reflects our commitment to key business destinations within the UK.
"Bmi Regional has been the UK's most punctual airline for four years running and through improved schedules and fantastic rewards for Diamond Club members, we strive to provide business and leisure travellers with the best possible level of service and added benefits."
Earlier this year, bmi reached an agreement with
Virgin Atlantic on an extension to the airlines' codeshare deal that covered routes in the
US, the
Middle East and other regions.
