Flights to Edinburgh will be in high demand in August as the city hosts its annual festival of culture.
The
Edinburgh International Festival will be held from August 14th to September 6th this year, bringing theatre, opera, visual arts and more to the Scottish capital.
Travellers enjoying
city breaks in
Edinburgh will be able to see festival events at a number of venues around the capital, including the Queen's Hall, the Royal Lyceum Theatre and the Traverse Theatre.
Highlights will include performances of three plays by Brian Friel, one of Ireland's greatest playwrights, at the King's Theatre from August 15th to September 5th.
The European Union Baroque Orchestra will perform at Usher Hall on August 25th, followed by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra at the same venue on August 26th and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra on August 31st.
