Virgin Atlantic launches summer sale

Virgin Atlantic could see a substantial increase in passengers over the coming months following the launch of a summer sale.

The airline is offering cheaper economy and premium economy flights to various destinations around the world in the sale.

New York is among the US destinations featured in the promotion - with prices starting from £259 - along with Boston for £299 and Las Vegas for £313.

Those interested in visiting the Caribbean will be able to fly to Antigua with Virgin Atlantic for £359, while Dubai and Delhi will be available from £299 for return flights.

The summer sale fares include taxes and charges and will be on sale until July 14th.

Virgin Atlantic said recently that it was "confident about future growth" and underlined its statement by ordering ten new Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

The planes, which will be delivered gradually throughout 2011 and 2012, will be used to assist the airline's future development, operating flights to new destinations such as Beijing, Cancun and Vancouver.
