Copenhagen prepares for cultural summer
Travellers planning a city break in Copenhagen during the late summer period this year will have plenty of opportunities to experience the culture of Denmark's capital city.
One of the highlights of the destination's event calendar will be Kopenhagen Contemporary, which will be held at galleries and museums across the city from September 18th to 20th.
Visitors will be able to attend special exhibitions, guided tours, artist talks and more during the weekend.
Another cultural highlight in September will be Golden Days, an annual festival that focuses on a different theme every year. The 2009 edition will run from September 11th to 18th and feature more than 150 events in 60 different venues, all arranged around the theme of the body.
Those planning to visit Copenhagen later in the year may get the chance to experience the city's Night of Culture on October 9th, which will see museums, galleries, political institutions and other venues welcoming visitors for hundreds of unique events and activities.
Flights to Copenhagen are provided by Cimber Air, easyJet, SAS and other carriers.
