Delta Airlines improves business class flights to New York
Delta Airlines has announced an upgrade to its schedule of business class flights to New York from Heathrow Airport.
The carrier has added fully flat beds to all services on its London Heathrow to New York route with immediate effect.
It was also announced that Delta will introduce its new BusinessElite service on flights from John F Kennedy Airport in New York to Los Angeles and San Francisco from September.
The airline has been focusing on the New York market recently and has announced that it will be setting up a new domestic hub at La Guardia Airport.
Ranjan Goswami, the company's director of customer experience, said: "Delta's frequent business travellers tell us that the comfort of a flat bed seat with direct aisle access is a must-have on flights to and from London, and that a true BusinessElite experience is critical when flying to and from the west coast.
"Today, we are responding to our road warriors' requests with a significant enhancement of the level of business class service offered from our JFK hub."
Delta expects to more than double the number of non-stop destinations it serves from La Guardia Airport when its new base is operational.
