Brussels Airlines has announced an extension to its codeshare deal with
bmi.
The airline announced that it will begin offering flights to
Heathrow Airport as part of an agreement with bmi from October 25th, providing a total of seven daily services on the
London Heathrow to Brussels route.
Business passengers, people on
city breaks and travellers accessing onward connections from
Belgium will all benefit from the new schedule, Brussels Airlines claimed.
The extended agreement is part of the carrier's integration into the Star Alliance network, of which bmi is already a member.
Brussels Airlines already cooperates with the British operator on routes to
Edinburgh Airport,
Leeds-Bradford Airport,
Gatwick Airport and other bases in the
UK from
Brussels.
It was recently announced that the Belgian carrier will be extending its route network into
Africa this year as part of a codeshare agreement with
Lufthansa, another Star Alliance member.
The development will allow Brussels Airlines to offer flights to
Cape Town,
Johannesburg,
Accra and
Khartoum.
