New resort set to open in Thailand
Travellers visiting Thailand will soon be offered a new accommodation option when the country's third JW Marriott-branded property opens on November 1st.
The Marriott Khao Lak Resort and Spa is located an hour's drive away from Phuket Airport along a stretch of Khuk Khak Beach, which is part of the Phang Nga province.
It features 298 rooms in four main wings, which boast facilities including a 40-inch flat-screen television, a balcony or deck area offering access to a swimming pool and high-speed internet access.
Guests will be able to choose from six restaurants located along the beach, which offer views of the Andaman Sea and a variety of Thai, Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine.
Ed Fuller, Marriott's president and managing director of international lodging, said: "We are delighted to expand our JW Marriott brand presence in Thailand and are confident the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort and Spa will be popular with leisure and incentive travellers who are seeking the renowned Thai travel experience in a relaxed, quiet environment."
The company also opened a new property in the Philippines this month as part of a resort complex in Manila.
