Queenstown to offer new adventure activity
Travellers planning adventure holidays in New Zealand will soon be able to try out a new activity in Queenstown.
Ziptrek Ecotours has been planning to launch its flying fox operation at Bob's Peak in Queenstown for four years and is currently completing the installation of its low-impact infrastructure in the area.
The two-hour experience will begin at the Skyline complex and will send guests soaring among the treetops high above town.
Due to be available from next month, the activity combines adventure with an appreciation for the natural environment.
Trent Yeo, director of Ziptrek Ecotours, said: "We've been building up to this for some years now and truly believe Ziptrek Ecotours will be a fantastic addition to Queenstown's adventure portfolio.
"The Skyline location is perfect for Ziptrek because the views from Bob's Peak are recognisable around the world and the tall Douglas fir trees lend themselves to our tree-based architecture."
Queenstown is one of New Zealand's most popular adventure tourism destinations.
It is located south of Wellington and Christchurch on the country's South Island.
