Flights to South Africa 'offer a world in one country'
People taking flights to South Africa can benefit from a unique cultural experience, according to one expert.
Anton De Wit, reservations manager at tour company Rhino Africa, said the country's wide range of activities will only become more varied in the coming months, particularly as it prepares to host the 2010 World Cup.
He said that Cape Town and the Kruger National Park are particularly popular destinations for Brits, a claim backed up by recent figures released by South African Tourism.
The statistics showed that the number of people taking flights to South Africa from the UK increased by 6.8 per cent in the last year, from 32,971 in August 2008 to 35,211 in August 2009.
Mr De Wit explained: "Come with an open mind. Give yourself enough time. Make sure you have time to see the lesser known areas besides Kruger as there are beautiful areas to see between Johannesburg and Kruger."
