'Sophisticated boutique hotel' opens in central Las Vegas
Adventure-seekers taking flights to Las Vegas now have one more mega-hotel to choose to stay in.
The first fully-completed part of the $8.5 billion CityCenter project in the heart of Sin City, the luxurious Vdara Hotel & Spa has finally opened its doors to guests following one of the most lavish ceremonies seen on the Strip for some time.
Guests including Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom were on hand to celebrate the opening of the 57-storey hotel, which claims to offer guests a truly unique experience since it attempts to bring Dubai to the United States.
Visitors will be treated to 'seven-star' treatment, with developers stating that the new destination is "an all-suite boutique hotel with a sophisticated international flair that appeals to guests who love the energy and excitement of Las Vegas".
At the same time, visitors taking flights to Las Vegas are also able to take advantage of the new 392-room Mandarin Oriental hotel, which also opened this week.
News of the hotel openings comes as Simon Cowell is believed to be looking into taking his X Factor show to Las Vegas, widely regarded as the true home of US entertainment.
