Flights to Scandinavia offer access to ethical holidays

Holidaymakers booking flights to Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland can benefit from some of the world's best ethical trips.

This is the opinion of Laura Greenman, director at green travel website ecoscape.org, who said Scandinavia offers "excellent holiday experiences" and access to nature in a way that affords it respect.

"[It is about] what you are going to learn from that holiday and in Scandinavian countries like Norway, Sweden and Denmark, they are giving people an education," she commented.

Ms Greenman went on to say that there is a demand for travel to particularly "remote and untouched" destinations, with this likely to be focussed on in the years ahead.

A recently-published report from Ethical Traveler revealed that Lithuania and Poland are the two European countries in its Developing Worlds 10 Best Ethical Destinations list.

The nations were joined by South American countries such as Argentina and Chile and African destinations including Namibia, Ghana and South Africa.
