Manchester Airport to host extra flights to Singapore
Singapore Airlines has announced changes to its schedule that will offer additional flights from Manchester Airport to Singapore.
From March 28th next year, the carrier will operate five weekly flights from Singapore to Munich, which will return via Manchester Airport.
The service will offer more choice from the UK hub, which currently hosts three weekly flights to Singapore.
A Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be used on the route, offering amenities including the KrisWorld inflight entertainment system and a 30-inch-wide seat in business class.
Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines' executive vice-president of marketing, said Munich has "something for everyone".
He added: "With the launch of these flights, Singapore Airlines will be able to meet demand for this exciting destination, which also provides a gateway into Austria and the surrounding region.
"En route, customers can savour our latest product and service offerings."
Singapore Airlines will also expand its presence in Asia next year with the launch of flights to Tokyo Haneda Airport.
