Singapore Airlines has announced changes to its schedule that will offer additional
flights from Manchester Airport to Singapore.
From March 28th next year, the carrier will operate five weekly flights from
Singapore to
Munich, which will return via
Manchester Airport.
The service will offer more choice from the
UK hub, which currently hosts three weekly flights to
Singapore.
A Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be used on the route, offering amenities including the KrisWorld
inflight entertainment system and a 30-inch-wide seat in
business class.
Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines' executive vice-president of marketing, said
Munich has "something for everyone".
He added: "With the launch of these flights, Singapore Airlines will be able to meet demand for this exciting destination, which also provides a gateway into Austria and the surrounding region.
"En route, customers can savour our latest product and service offerings."
Singapore Airlines will also expand its presence in
Asia next year with the launch of flights to
Tokyo Haneda Airport.
