Lonely Planet to offer travel tips

Lonely Planet has announced that it will be releasing a new edition of its Best Ever Travel Tips guide.

The company claims that the new book will share "insider secrets and expert advice" from travel writers, industry representatives and staff.

Chapters will cover subjects including how to make the most of your holiday time, travel money, health and safety, air transport, hotels and technology.

Author Tom Hall claims that it is a difficult task to come up with new and original travel advice.

In his introduction to the new guide, Mr Hall writes: "Search the web for 'travel tips' and you'll get 181,000,000 results at the click of a button.

"When putting together Lonely Planet's Best Ever Travel Tips, then, we knew we had to work a bit harder than usual to help you make travel better. This book is part of the ongoing effort to raise the bar."

The company will also be releasing a new city guide in February 2010 focusing on Hong Kong and Macau.
