San Francisco visitors offered new guide
People visiting the city of San Francisco in the US this year will be able to make use of a new guide that has been launched by the local tourist board.
The publication provides information on various subjects of interest to visitors, including events, museum exhibits, famous attractions and things to do for under $10 (£6.10).
There is also a section covering some of the highlights on offer just outside San Francisco, including wineries, restaurants and driving routes.
People planning to stay in the city will be able to use guides to 15 local neighbourhoods, which link to a section on the San Francisco Convention and Visitor Bureau's (SFCVB) website.
Matt Stiker, chief marketing officer for the SFCVB, said: "We know that our visitors find San Francisco an amazingly 'compact' destination, easily explored on foot or by public transit, and each neighborhood is like another city within the city.
"We took our cues from our guests and created a publication that is neighborhood-centric and, knowing that most of our visitors have online access while they visit, mingles new feature material with extended content on our website, Facebook postings and even the occasional tweet."
Travellers can order a copy of the new guide online or pick one up at the visitor centre at 900 Market Street in San Francisco.
