KLM to boost Liverpool to Amsterdam flight frequency
KLM will increase the frequency of its flights from Liverpool Airport to Amsterdam this year.
The carrier announced that a fourth daily service will be added to the route from May 10th.
As well as having increased access to Amsterdam and The Netherlands, Liverpool Airport passengers will be able to connect to KLM's long-haul network, which includes flights to Johannesburg, Mexico City and Shanghai.
The new service will be operated by a Fokker 70 aircraft with the capacity to carry up to 80 passengers.
Henri Hourcade, UK and Ireland manager of the Air France-KLM group, said: "Our new summer schedule is great news for Liverpool and for KLM and is a tangible symbol of the strength of our operations out of Merseyside.
"Whether travelling for business or leisure, the new schedule means faster connectivity with KLM's intercontinental route network, seamless integration with our European network and the convenience of being able to do a full day's business in Amsterdam and be back home in time for dinner."
The expansion comes less than a year after the airline introduced its route from Liverpool to Amsterdam on March 30th 2009.
