South African Tourism promoting adventure holidays
A new campaign has been launched to encourage travellers to embark on an adventure holiday in South Africa.
The country's national tourism agency announced that it had teamed up with the National Geographic television channel to launch a search for someone from the UK to join a team of people from all over the world on a tour of the country.
Brits are being given the opportunity to win a seven-day trip that will include trekking, surfing, canoeing, bungee jumping, hot-air ballooning and other activities.
The chosen participant from the UK will also be given the chance to address a specially selected audience at the National Geographic Store in London alongside cameraman Paul Mungeam.
Mr Mungeam said: "South Africa is such a fantastic destination for adventure travel.
"You have mountains to climb and oceans to dive in, a range of some of the biggest and best adrenaline activities in the world and you will share them all with such fun and friendly people!"
People planning to arrange their own adventure holiday in South Africa can reach the country by taking flights to Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and other cities.
