Flybe to launch 15 new routes this winter
Flybe has announced that its 2010-11 winter schedule will include 15 new routes.
Passengers will be able to catch flights to Brest and La Rochelle with the airline from Southampton Airport, while a new winter service to Nantes will be introduced from Gatwick Airport.
Flybe will also extend its domestic network with new links to Cardiff, Newcastle and Norwich from Jersey.
As well as introducing new flights, the regional carrier will continue to offer popular services including winter sun routes to Alicante, Faro and Malaga, along with links to Chambery, Geneva and Salzburg for people planning skiing holidays.
Mike Rutter, Flybe's chief commercial officer, said: "Despite industry challenges over the past year and with other airlines limiting their growth, Flybe has been able to step in and fill many gaps and continue building capacity.
"We're pleased to be able to offer such a wide choice of regional routes this coming winter including the 15 new routes that, due to popular demand, we've been able to now carry over to the winter schedule."
The carrier expects to operate up to 3,214 flights a week during the winter season.
