Monarch Increases Flights to Gibraltar and Sharm el Sheikh

Flights to Gibraltar and Sharm el Sheikh have been in high demand

It has been revealed by Monarch, the longest serving British airline still operating under their original brand name, that new additional flights to Sharm el Sheikh and Gibraltar will be provided after the airline noted a particularly strong demand for these destinations. Following increased flights to Majorca from London Gatwick, the airline announced that the additional services would increase the number of flights per week to Gibraltar and Sharm el Sheikh to eleven and six respectively.

Available now for booking, the new flight to the popular Egyptian resort will operate between September 9th and October 28th, providing an extra service on Thursdays. Between September 12th and October 31st, Manchester will host an additional Sunday flight to Gibraltar, adding to the services already available from the airport and those from Luton.

Speaking of the newly revised services to both of the popular destinations, the Managing Director of Flights and Holidays at Monarch, Tim Jeans, expressed that strong demand had been behind the decision to provide extra services. "We are very excited to be expanding our services to Gibraltar as a new terminal at the airport, which opens next summer, will see better facilities for customers and an enhanced travel experience" he said.
