Heed Advice When Flying to Egypt
Egypt becoming a popular holiday destination
Egypt is becoming a very popular holiday destination for travellers from the United Kingdom looking for a culturally interesting holiday. Egypt is also an ideal location for holidaymakers wanting to take in historical sites in a country offering far hotter climes than the UK. Consequently the demand for flights is increasing, however it is important to bear in mind some important considerations before and during the holiday to ensure that it is memorable for all of the right reasons.
An ancient civilisation which continues to enthral and capture the imagination of travellers from across the planet, Egypt is home to the Sphinx, Pyramids, and the Valley of the Kings to name but a few iconic attractions. It's coastline along the Red Sea also makes it highly attractive for divers and those seeking beach holidays alike.
Whilst it is a popular destination which has developed many western standards it is important to remember that the nation is a predominantly Muslim society. Travellers flying to places such as Sharm el Sheik or Cairo should therefore consider local customs and cover up if in doubt. Meanwhile it is vital to remember that Egypt can also become extremely hot, with coastal areas often reaching temperatures of 43°C.
Flights to Egypt are widely available across the UK, with airlines including bmi, Aegean Airlines, and Lufthansa flying from a range of British airports. If just a little care is observed and advice heeded, tourists can ensure that their Egyptian adventure is everything they expect and more.
