Air France Reveal Direct Flights to Cape Town Starting in November

Air France has revealed that it is to begin direct flights to Cape Town from Charles de Gaulle from November 3rd.  Offering services aboard its Boeing 777-200, which includes its new business class arrangement, the service will allow Brits easy travel to a city that is becoming increasingly popular for both tourism and business.  

Many flights to Cape Town currently have to stopover in places such as Dubai, adding to journey times and price.  However, with Air France's new route Brits will be able to take a quick flight down to Paris before catching a direct connection to South Africa.  The new service will operate three times a week and provide 250 economy, 24 premium economy and 35 business class seats.

Utilising a Boeing plane, passengers aboard the new route will be able to enjoy Air France's newly launched business seats, which were revealed at the end of 2010.  Seats have been ergonomically designed to offer flyers with more comfort, with integrated footrests and a fixed shell structure providing more stability.  Meanwhile, the workspace has also been redesigned, giving passengers more room and a wider range of functions are also available for business passengers.

The move by Air France is part of development plans to offer wide access to Africa as a continent.  Three new routes will be launched by the airline this year, providing services to Bata, Freetown, and Monrovia.  Meanwhile, the new service to Cape Town will provide more choice for British travellers and will be the ideal solution for travelling to this holiday hotspot.
