Second Virgin Flight to Orlando Takes Off
Second Flight to Orlando Takes Off From London Gatwick
The second of Virgin Atlantic's new A330 aircraft has left Gatwick, taking passengers to the popular family destination of Orlando. Whilst 'Beauty Queen', the airline's first A330 made its inaugural flight to Orlando from Manchester a month ago, the latest offering provides travellers from London with a new high spec route from London Gatwick.
Making its inaugural flight on 1st May, Virgin's 'Mademoiselle Rouge' left Gatwick and was bound for Orlando, one of the top holiday destinations in the world. Over the course of the next two years Virgin will receive a total of 10 next generation A330 aircraft, offering passengers the greatest comfort many will have experienced. Panasonic's revolutionary new in-flight entertainment system is hailed as one of the top additions, with touchscreen capabilities allowing easy scrolling through many hours of entertainment. Later in 2011 those travelling aboard will also be able to send text messages and emails from their mobile devices utilising the plane's latest upgrades.
On the day of inaugural Gatwick flight, director of operations, safety and security, Corneel Koster, said "I am very proud to welcome 'Mademoiselle Rouge' to Gatwick today. We are hoping passengers travelling on this new aircraft to Orlando will enjoy the new in-flight entertainment system. With over 300 hours of movies, award winning TV shows, music and games we are sure holidaymakers flying from Gatwick today will love having this cutting edge technology at their fingertips." And with Orlando continuing to draw hundreds of thousands of British travellers each year, Virgin Atlantic can expect increased demand on its latest aircraft.
