And there are several top spots in the world where watersports really are some of the very best.
For travellers wanting far off paradises, the Caribbean, Hawaii and Thailand are perfect for combined beach and watersports holidays. Travelling to Honolulu will allow access to Oahu's North Shore; a place where waves can reach a height of 50 feet and are perfect for surfing. Alternatively, with a wide range of sea life including manta rays, whale sharks and barracuda, Thai spots such as Phuket and the nearby Similar Islands are perfect for scuba diving.
Closer to British shores there are also great spots in Europe. The Canary Islands and places such as Lanzarote are ideal for windsurfing, whi lst Malta is a unique island to explore from an underwater perspective. Scuba diving and snorkelling are especially good here due to calm currents and good visibility.
