Orlando Sees Popularity Rise after Washout Summer
With the British summer proving a washout it has been revealed that there has been a surge in overseas travel.
It has been revealed that a huge number of last minute holiday bookings are being made as the wet British summer leads residents to look overseas for some sun. With Barbados, Orlando and Mauritius all proving popular for longer breaks, British travellers are flocking to these places with guaranteed weather to enjoy an alternative summer paradise.
Speaking of the last minute trend, British Airways' Claire Bentley said "we are seeing a heavy demand from our UK customers for last minute overseas holidays. Thanks to a range of new leisure destinations, including Marrakech, and even more flights to the always popular Caribbean, customers are sure to find that British Airways can help them get away for their perfect summer holiday."
Whilst shorter trips to locations such as New York and Rome have proved popular, for those wanting longer holidays, the Caribbean and the world's top family holiday spot of Orlando have proved popular. Orlando in particular not only offers great weather, but a huge range of attractions for all the family including one of the worlds most famous zoos and a number of theme parks. And with the British summer showing no signs of appearing, residents are making alternative arrangements to enjoy the blazing sun.
