Lufthansa Notes Increasing Passengers with More Services

8 percent increase in Lufthansa's passenger traffic

It has been revealed by the German based Lufthansa Group that they have noted an 8 per cent increase in passenger traffic. The company, who consists of German Wings, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, BMI and SWISS, are now flying 80.7 million additional passengers around the world.

Compiling figures for the first nine months of 2011, the comparison with 2010 showed a significant increase in custom. The group has initiated several new services including BMI's route to Frankfurt and direct services to Doha, allowing passengers access to a great network of flights. Meanwhile the group also noted a 10 per cent increase in capacity, offering more seats for travellers than ever before.

The beginning of the year's uplift was largely attributed to increased traffic in Europe due to the new Europa cabin on shorter flights. Meanwhile, larger planes were also added to the fleet's more popular routes, allowing more travellers to access the Lufthansa Group's extensive network. These results present a very positive message for Lufthansa and their customers, indicating that the airline continues to offer the best range of routes and highest quality of service. It seems therefore that Lufthansa can look forward to increasing popularity over the coming months and years.
