Spain most affordable half term holiday for families.

Post Office Travel Money has said that destinations in Spain are the most affordable for families getting away during the half term holidays. With the country having very popular holiday destinations including Barcelona, Alicante and Gran Canaria, parents wanting cheap getaways will get more for their money in the popular holiday nation.

Whilst the exchange rate is similar to last year, Spain remains one of the most affordable destinations for families. Elsewhere, fluctuations in currency mean that individuals can get 21 per cent more Kenyan shillings or 27 per cent more Turkish lira for their money, offering some excellent alternative options for the half term holidays. Prices have also fallen in Dubai and Sharm el Sheikh offering ideal family holiday spots.

Speaking about the changes in exchange rate and their implications for travellers, Post Office Travel Money's head, Sarah Munro, explained "Price is bound to be a big consideration so it is good to report falling prices in five of the destinations that attract UK families."  These increases in value for money noted in Paphos, Phuket, Orlando, Sharm el Sheikh and the Costa del Sol mean that there is still a range of places to escape the turbulent British
