Berlin, a good choice for a family holiday

Many destinations have now realised that family holidays need a little more than a pool and a beach. With flights available to all major European cities, they are easy to reach. Within a few hours of leaving home, the family could all be relaxing or taking part in any number of exciting activities. 

Brussels may not be the top name on anyone's list for a family holiday but there are many family-friendly attractions, such as the Belgian Comic Strip Museum. Ideal for young boys - and dads with long memories - this is the ideal place to go to find out more about all their favourite comic characters. 

Madrid is another popular capital city for tourists and for those travelling with children. The Warner Brothers Movie Park is considered to be one of the best theme parks in Europe. In addition, football enthusiasts can take in a match at the Bernabeu Stadium.

Berlin is also not the most obvious choice for families, but the city has become much more family friendly in recent years. This includes the development of the 'kindercafes', part of the café culture that is aimed at those with children. In addition, Berlin Zoo is considered to be one of the best days out that the city has to offer and the Tiergarten park is ideal for a day in the sunshine.
