What is RSS?
RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication' Put simply it allows you identify websites or content you like and have it delivered directly to you.
With so many sites and pages on the web, finding the information you want can sometimes be difficult. With RSS you can get the latest news, features, offers or whatever interests you delivered directly to your PC without having to browse from site to site looking for information.
For example on the Just the Flight site, you might be interested in finding the cheapest flight deals to a particular destination from your local airport or maybe look out for special offers or last minute flight deals. We believe we're one of the first flight websites to offer this service.
How do I start using RSS?
The first thing you need is a news reader. There are all sorts of different versions, some of which are accessed via a web browser but more commonly they come as a free downloadable application. All allow you to view and subscribe to the RSS feeds you're interested in.
How do I get a News Reader?
There are many to choose from, we use RSS Reader for the Windows operating system and Safari RSS for Apple Mac OSX (This is built in to the latest version of the Safari browser) However there are many more to choose from:

How do I start using RSS Feeds?
Once you've decided on a news reader, all you have to do is decide on what content you'd like to receive. Then click on the orange
button next to the feed that interests you. For example:

After you've clicked on the orange button, you'll be taken to a page that probably won't mean anything to you but it will to your RSS reader! You can subscribe to the feed in various ways, either by dragging the URL from the address bar into your RSS reader or by copying and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your RSS reader.
