From Cancun there are a selection of tours to the lost Mayan City of Chitzen Itza and other Mayan ruins at Tulum, the spectacular Eco Park at Xel-Ha, swim with Dolphins or take a ferry boat ride to the island of Cozumel
Most resort hotels welcome children and offer free ‘kids clubs’ and ‘child-minding’ services for an additional charge.
Local bus services and taxis are available, but for greater independence you may prefer to hire a car to explore the region.
