New Montreal Flights with Qatar Airways
It has been revealed that Qatar Airways has started a new service to Montreal. Ideal for business passengers who may be travelling throughout the world, the three weekly flights will provide the ideal new service between Doha and Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.
Qatar Airways has seen significant growth this year, and Montreal is the eighth of 15 planned new routes for 2011. Adding to Washington DC, Houston and New York it's the fourth North American gateway for services from Doha, offering business passengers in particular, wider access to travel.
Making use of a Boeing 777-200, each service will have 217 Economy seats and 42 Business Class seats. Speaking about the latest addition to their portfolio, Qatar's chief executive officer, Akbar Al Baker, revealed "This is a proud moment for me, for Qatar Airways and for the State of Qatar as we establish a new air corridor between my country and Canada for the first time. I would like to offer my thanks to the Canadian government, Aeroports de Montreal and the people of Quebec for supporting Qatar Airways' newest route and giving us such a warm welcome."
There are many routes to Montreal from London Heathrow, but for those on business in the Middle East, passengers often had to return to Europe before finding onward Canadian flights. However, with the latest route, access to the Canada has been opened like never before.
