Direct Flights to Doha Revealed by Lufthansa

Leading German airline Lufthansa has revealed that it will be launching direct flights between Frankfurt and Doha, removing the need for passengers having to stop in Riyadh first. Slashing travel time by up to 1hr 45mins, the service will offer a far great travel experience than before, whilst giving passengers the ideal connections between the two cities including an extra option for British travellers making connections in Frankfurt.

Starting on 30th October in time for Lufthansa's winter schedule the new service will provide six direct flights between Doha and Frankfurt per week, reducing the current flight times by between 1hr 30mins and 1hr 45mins.

Speaking about the move, General Manager for Lufthansa's UAE, Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan operations, Peter Pollak, said "Qatar is one of the most dynamic growth markets in the Gulf region and it has long been on our wish list to bring a non-stop Lufthansa service to the Doha-Frankfurt route. We are pleased to offer the superior travel comfort of a six weekly non-stop flight to our customers soon."

Operated aboard Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft, Lufthansa will offer three classes with 2012 seeing the introduction of a fully-flat Business Class seat and First Class passengers able to take advantage of the airlines newest cabins. So for those wanting to travel back and forth to the Middle East as swiftly as possible, the latest services will be highly attractive.
