BMI subsidiary bmibaby has revealed two new Mediterranean routes for the summer 2012 season. Starting next year, the airline will offer a Catania service from East Midlands Airport and Menorca-bound flights from Belfast.

Starting on 27th May 27th 2012, East Midlands flights to Sicily's Catania will start once a week, offering easy travel to this popular Italian destination. The route will fly throughout the summer until 30th September, giving holidaymakers the ideal route for getaways. Meanwhile, those living in Belfast and the surrounding area will be able to fly to Menorca's Mahon. Flights will operate on Fridays and Mondays, offering travel to this traditional holiday destination from 15th June 15th to 24th September.

Speaking of the new options available for travellers next summer, bmibaby's managing director, Julian Carr, revealed that the new portfolio additions were the perfect compliment to existing flights. Bmibaby already offers Venice, Verona and Naples flights from East Midlands, whilst those in Belfast can utilise flights to Faro, Alicante and other popular Mediterranean retreats. Mr Carr added "We are delighted to offer even more destinations for summer 2012 and customers can continue to enjoy our great bmibaby service and low fares."
