Top spots for partiers of the older generation

There is a well-believed myth that the older you get, the less you want to party. However, this is not true for many holidaymakers who, though being in their later years, still want to enjoy drinking and dancing the night away. For those looking ahead to their summer holidays there are plenty of spots where clubbing around the clock is available, including Ayia Napa, Lanzarote and Rio de Janeiro.

Many over 55s still want to dance the night away and a new poll of over 2,000 people found that there were clubbing hotspots around the world frequented by older partiers. Cyprus' Larnaca is the ideal destination for those wanting to access Ayia Napa, which is one of Europe's most famed clubbing spots. Meanwhile, Spain continues to be a traditional destination, with Majorca offering the ideal travel to Magaluf. Lanzarote is a perennial favourite.

Away from Europe, Rio de Janeiro is one place highlighted by those in their late 50s as the ideal place to visit for beautiful sun, a carnival culture and drinking and dancing throughout the night.

With summer only a few months away, many people will be looking ahead to travelling abroad and getting the most out of their time away. With partying not just for youngsters, British holidaymakers can find some top clubbing spots for all ages.
