Just the Flight's top three unexplored Vegas hotspots

Las Vegas welcome sign

Las Vegas is iconic around the world for being a place of glitz, glamour, drinking and casinos. However, Nevada has far more to do than simply visit The Strip, and for holidaymakers heading to Sin City this year, taking the time to explore some alternate attractions could be popular.

1. Red Rock

Whilst there is a casino with this name, Red Rock Canyon is the ideal place to visit for those who don't want to travel all the way to the Grand Canyon. 15 miles west of Las Vegas, the conservation is home to bighorn sheep, coyotes, mountain lions and wild horses. A 13-mile loop drive is the perfect morning or afternoon excursion, and there are a great number of viewing points to take pictures.

2. Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam is one of America's historic landmarks and the dam is the Western Hemisphere's tallest dam at over 725 feet. The tour takes visitors into the heart of operations and includes a historic video of how the dam was created, whilst a short walk over the river takes visitors from Nevada to Arizona.

3. Springs Preserve

Located close to The Strip but offering an outdoor retreat, the Springs Preserve is a lush garden complex ideal for getting away from the busy lights of Las Vegas. Within the park are bike trails and walking paths through acres of native habitat, allowing tourists to see the real Nevada landscape.
