The Annual Maui Brewers Festival, Kahului

Imagine lying on a tropical island sipping on cold craft beers from Hawaii’s finest breweries whilst listening to the best island music for a whole day? The Annual Maui Brewers Festival takes place every May at the Maui Arts & Cultural Centre in Kahului.

It began in 2009, and is rapidly growing with hundreds more visitors attending year on year, this annual event in the Hawaiian destination and city of Kahului provides plenty of entertainment and beers from all over America and the Maui Brewing Company and Hawaii Nui Brewing. The Maui Brewing Company is the only brewer of craft beer in Hawaii with 100% of their beers being brewed and bottled on the island of Maui. Kahului, home to the popular festival, is also considered to be the number one retail destination for Maui residents.

The event began as a fund-raiser with all proceeds benefiting the Maui Arts and Cultural Centre’s arts and educational programs aimed to support the Maui community, students and seniors by showcasing the very best imported and hand-crafted beers from the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii and California. In total the Maui Brewers Festival features over 28 quality beer crafting breweries.

Whilst you sip your favourite brews, line your stomach with some tantalising typical island-style dishes from the best local restaurants and chefs, you can listen to or even jig to the grand line up of entertainment which includes a selection every year of Maui’s best bands and singers.
