BMI Drops Paris Routes
BMI have announced the suspension of services to Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport from their London Heathrow hub.
The Star Alliance member airline will stop services when their summer schedule will begin on 25 march 2007, blaming increased competition on the route and the recent announcement that Eurostar will start services from London St Pancras station later this year.
BMI feel that their valuable Heathrow slots can be used on more profitable routes where as Paris is well served by competitors British Airways and Air France who both will continue to operate a high frequency schedule on the route.
The airline has also announced that their Leeds/Bradford to Paris service will also be dropped from 25 March 2007.
