Austrian Airlines increases Iraq flights
Austrian Airlines has again increased frequency on its flights to Erbil, in response to rising demand for travel to Iraq.
An additional weekly flight from the airline’s Vienna hub will operate between 2nd June and 24th September, bringing the total number of flights to four per week.
Passengers travelling from the UK can enjoy quick, same day connections from Heathrow via Vienna. Austrian’s 0605 hrs departure from Heathrow connects to a flight arriving in Erbil at 1500 hrs, meaning a total travel time of 6 hours and 55 minutes. The return journey, taking 7 hours 25 minutes, departs from Erbil at 1555 hrs, connecting to a flight arriving at Heathrow at 2120 hrs.
The Vienna to Erbil flights offer Austrian's Premium Service Business Class, which is also offered on their routes to Amman, Astana, Cairo, Damascus, Jeddah, Riyadh and Tehran.
The news follows a recent announcement by fellow Star Alliance carrier BMI of its interest in introducing flights between London and Baghdad.
