Iberia Introduces New Flights to Latin America
Spanish national carrier Iberia is enhancing its route network with the addition of several new services to Latin America during October.
On 1st October Iberia will commence services from its Madrid hub to Cordoba, Argentina's second city, at the same time becoming the first European airline to offer direct flights to this destination. This is good news for passengers travelling from London to Cordoba, who will now be able to make the journey with just one change of aircraft, in Madrid. The new flights will operate three times per week.
On the same day, the airline will also inaugurate a new route to San Salvador, capital of El Salvador. Operating four times weekly, the Madrid to San Salvador leg will involve a short touchdown in Guatemala, although the return flight will be nonstop.
Later in October, Iberia's service from Madrid to Panama City, which currently operates via Guatemala, will become a nonstop service.
Iberia already serves a wide range of Latin American destinations, including Montevideo, Quito, San Jose and Mexico City (to which the airline has already increased capacity by over 2,000 seats per week this summer).
