Eclipse watchers head to Turkey
Turkey will be one of the best sites in Europe to watch this month's solar eclipse.
While the partial eclipse on March 29th will be visible across most of Europe, eclipse experts reckon that Turkey will provide one of the most dramatic sites for watching this solar phenomenon and is likely to have clear skies.
Those staying in the UK will only see a small corner of the sun obscured and, of course, a clear view will be at the whim of the British weather.
Regardless of where they are watching it from, eclipse hunters are reminded that they should never look directly at the sun, particularly with binoculars or a camera.
Other attractions in Turkey include the various relics of the Byzantine era, including the dramatic sunken palace in Istanbul and the Kariye Museum, founded in a renovated church.
