Schonbrunn Easter Fair
The Schonbrunn Easter Fair takes place in Vienna from April 1st to 17th.
The annual Easter market and celebration takes over the courtyard of the Baroque Schonbrunn Palace in Austria.
Chocolate fans will be pleased to hear that there is a heavy emphasis on Easter eggs, with chocolate treats available in all shapes and sizes, with special eggs moulded from marzipan, fondant and praline.
There is also a selection of non-edible Easter gifts for sale, including toys, wreaths and religious carvings.
Listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, the palace, which name translates as "beautiful spring", was built for the Hapsburg rulers after the threat of a Turkish invasion declined after 1683.
The palace has gone on to form an important part of Austria's history, being the place where Karl I signed away the Austro-Hungarian empire in November 1918.
