Dublin to rock this spring time
Tourists keen to combine their love of music with a culture-packed city break can take advantage of Dublin's 2006 Heineken Green Energy Festival.
Held between April 29th and May 1st, the festival will feature a number of internationally renowned bands against the stunning backdrop of Dublin Castle.
Irish band Snow Patrol will return to their roots to kick off the festival and will be followed on successive nights by performers including Ian Brown, the Kaiser Chiefs and Republic of Loose.
For those planning on making an extended trip, Dublin Castle will not only make a magnificent backdrop for the festival but could also prove to be worth a visit itself for those who are keen to learn more about Ireland's history.
Featuring an undercroft to the old city wall, a library full of international manuscripts and artefacts from across the centuries, a police museum and state apartments, the Castle is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions.
