Frankfurt to increase capacity
Europe's busiest aviation base, Frankfurt Airport has announced that it is to raise its overall passenger capacity by around two per cent.
Routes that operate across Europe from will see an increase of 2,940 flights every seven day period, which is a 1.7 per cent jump when compared to current levels.
The number of long haul flights from the hub will also increase, with the airport stating that departures to further afield destinations will increase by five per cent - hitting 945 flights every week.
Destinations that passengers will be able to travel to from Frankfurt Airport this summer will also include Bahrain and Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
The summer timetable will also see 129 airlines operate from the airport, serving 112 countries.
