BA reveals summer destinations
British Airways (BA) has announced a range of summer destinations today with the introduction of six new routes.
As part of its summer timetable, BA will be running services to both Albania and the Black Sea area of Bulgaria.
Tirana, Albania's capital will see three flights a week from the operator and Varna, a Bulgarian coastal destination, will receive two flights. However, from June this number will rise to four flights every seven day period.
Commenting on the Albanian flights, Robert Boyle, director of planning at BA, said that the destination had "huge potential" as a leisure destination.
For those seeking the sun this summer, the operator will be running four flights a week to Athens from Gatwick.
However, people looking for a cooler climate can also take advantage of the summer timetable as BA will be running a five-a-week service to Reykjavik– the capital of Iceland.
Other routes announced today by BA include Izmir in Turkey and Kiev in the Ukraine.
