Terrorism 'not putting Brits off their holiday'
Around 33 per cent of the British public are not put off by the terror threat, according to research produced by Mintel.
Mintel found that 55 per cent of its study's respondents felt that destinations that had been hit by terror attacks were more attractive as a result of cheaper prices and quieter resorts.
The market research firm also revealed that 66 per cent of those looking to book a holiday feel that it is important to help destinations, such as Egypt, Madrid or New York, which have been targeted by terrorists.
Commenting on the research, Richard Cope, senior travel analyst at Mintel, said that both Bali and Egypt "will see British holidaymakers returning much more quickly than following earlier attacks in previous years".
The Post Office estimated earlier this week that around 30 million people plan to take an overseas holiday in 2006.
