Foodies and travellers intent on getting a true taste of the Big Apple should head to
New York in July for the summer version of the city's twice yearly restaurant week.
From July 10th to 14th and July 17th to 21st the city's best restaurants will be opening their doors to curious diners eager to sample top cuisine at discounted prices, as for the duration of the event participating venues will be offering a three-course lunch for $24.07.
Many restaurants will also offer a fixed-price dinner menu for $35 giving visitors to New
New York the chance to taste dishes at just a fraction of their usual cost, with reservations up to a month in advance being an absolute must.
The places to be seen queuing include the Michelin-starred Fleur de Sel, Café Boulud and Gotham Bar and Grill, although diners are warned to keep a check on their expectations as dining rooms are often over-filled, to compensate for the volume of visitors and menus cut-back to their most basic dishes.
Eager international diners should keep an eye on the city's websites for more information and bear in mind American etiquette which means drinks, tax and tips aren't included in menu prices.
