Those who want to hone their dance skills could
fly to south Florida this summer for the state's annual dance festival.
Miami's Annual Florida Dance Festival, hosted by the New World School of Arts, features a number of courses designed to get the creative juices going among dancers across the range of disciplines and abilities. Participants come from across the US and the world to train up, exchange ideas and enjoy themselves in the company of fellow dancers.
Among the events which take place during the festival, participants are encouraged to explore different styles or expressions of movement, as well as take the chance to perform learn a piece of choreography from a guest performer or faculty member, ready to perform in the Festival Finale.
Courses on offer include Intermediate Ballet, American Percussive Dance Traditions, Hip Hop Reparatory and Performance, Jazz, courses in modern dancing styles and yoga classes for dancers.
Visitors are also invited to take advantage of and enjoy south Florida's resorts and tourist attractions, making the festival an opportunity to learn and relax at the same time.
The festival takes place between June 21st to July 1st in Miami and Miami Beach.
