People who
fly to New York this summer could be in for a tasty treat, as July will see the city will hold its Summer Restaurant Week.
Actually spanning a fortnight, the event running between July 10th and 21st will reduce menu's at some of the Big Apple's most prestigious eateries to affordable prices.
Mid-week lunch menus will be capped at $24.07 (£13.74) and a three course evening meal will be priced at $35.00.
However, to keep waiters and waitresses happy through this notoriously busy time, diners are being warning that tips are still required as gratuities are not included in the low prices.
A proportion of proceeds from the event are also dedicated to a local charity – the City Harvest, which seeks to redistribute unused food throughout the city.
However, should people be unable to fly out to New York in July, they need not worry, as in addition to the summer event there is also a Winter Restaurant Week, when the cut-price deals are also on offer.
